Coats for Kids​

2021 Coats for kids drive begins!

Thank you so much for the boy's coat!  He absolutely loved it!  He was so excited!  He also liked the hat and gloves.  It made his day!
Donations accepted until October 25.
Distribution of coats is on November 6 from 9-1.

All of the donated items will be
distributed for Free.
Distribution will take place at the
Monticello Senior Center
116 E. Marion St.-Monticello, IN
Saturday - November 6th
Time– 9am to 1pm
​
Children newborn to 18 yrs may receive items.
Children must live in White Co. or attend a White Co. school.
Parent must have proof of residency within the school corporations.
Child must be with parent or legal guardian to receive a coat.
Abrigos, sombreros, y guantes disponibles a no costo!

Program Details

Please drop-off at designated locations only. 

​Recipient must live in White Co. or attend a White Co. school.

Recipients must have proof of residency within the school corporations.

No income requirements or limits.

Please call the United Way office at 574-583-6544 to donate coats.

A Community Partnership between United Way, Rotary and Kiwanis.

​2020 Coats distribution occurred in an outdoor, drive-through manner at the Monticello Christian Church on November 7, 2020. Area businesses, churches, and individuals donated money to purchase new coats due to COVID.  218 children received coats on the day of distribution, with more distributed through schools and family services throughout the winter. 

2019 Coats distribution was at the White County Council on Aging Senior Center on
November 2, 2019 from 9 AM- 1 PM. Area businesses and churches hosted donation boxes in October. THANK YOU to our sponsors, donors, and volunteers for a successful community effort resulting in 279 coats being distributed on the very first day of distribution. 

2018 Coats distribution was at the White County Council on Aging Senior Center on
November 3, 2018 from 9 AM- 1 PM. Area businesses and churches hosted donation boxes in October. THANK YOU to our sponsors, donors, and volunteers for a successful community effort resulting in 280 coats being distributed in November. Proof of living or attending school in White County required for distribution.

2017 Coats distribution was at the White County Council on Aging Senior Center on
November 4, 2017 from 9 AM- 1 PM. Area businesses and churches hosted donation boxes in October. THANK YOU to our sponsors, donors, and volunteers for a successful community effort resulting in 359 coats being distributed in November. Coats are still being collected and distributed at our United Way offices on an as-needed basis. Proof of living or attending school in White County required for distribution.
